Day 1⇨ Welcome in Casablanca airport transfer to Hotel

Our authentic 10-Day Imperial Cities and Desert Tour from Casablanca, start by picking up directly from the airport to your accommodation in Casablanca, ensuring a hassle-free start to your trip and allowing you to relax and enjoy the journey at your accommodation. Day 2Casablanca ⇨ Rabat ⇨ Chefchaouen

After breakfast, once we leave the city, it’s about a five-hour drive to Chefchaouen. If you arrive early, we could include a visit to the Hassan II mosque. We travel north along the Atlantic coast to the imperial city and capital of Rabat, where we can stop for lunch if you wish. Continuing on, we reach wooded slopes and lakes, which means we’re approaching the blue city of Chefchaouen. You’ll stay in a typical hotel and spend the night exploring.

Day 3Chefchaouen ⇨ Roman ruins Volubilis ⇨ Fes

Today you have the breakfast in your Hotel in the morning then open eyes on the blue city, this magical medina with its unique urban landscape. Later, we leave to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, an important city with many well-preserved artifacts. Passing through fertile farmland and villages, we reach the ancient city of Fes and its medieval medina. Here, you’ll spend the night included breakfast.

Day 4Explore Fes with a Local Guide

Toady a Half-day guided tour of Fez. Fez is considered one of the most renowned cities in medieval Jewish history. It was once home to one of the most influential Talmudic students of all time, Rabbi Isaac Alfasi, as well as Maimonides in the years 1160 to 1165. Visit the Mellah with its synagogue. Fez is a secular and cultural hub with many facets.­ 

The tour will take you back in time to Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest university in the world (even before Oxford or the Sorbonne). We’ll also visit the medieval medina with its Bou Anania medersa, the Nejjarine fountain and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. Then, continue exploring the slender alleyways, home to numerous merchants and craftsmen selling a variety of wares including dates, fish, spices, copper urns and musical instruments.

Day 5Fes ⇨ Ifran ⇨ Azrou ⇨ Medalt ⇨ Merzouga

 
 
 

Leaving Fès, we head for the great cedar forests and alpine villages of Ifrane and Azrou. In the forest, you’re sure to catch a glimpse of the macaque monkeys that live there. Midelt is called the Apple capital, because it grows so many varieties. Lunch is served here. From here, the scenery changes many times, from large rivers to mountains and palm groves. The Ziz Valley is an impressive sight. Next stop is the Erfoud fossil and mineral workshops. This region has unearthed many amazing fossils and even dinosaur bones. You’ll start to notice the colors changing, and soon you’ll be able to see the dunes from afar. We head for the spectacular Merzouga dunes, where the sand dunes mark the beginning of the mighty Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert. We leave our vehicle and take a camel ride across the desert to a Berber camp. To make this an unforgettable experience, why not surf the Moroccan Sahara Desert and try sand dune boarding. After dinner, we gather around the fire and enjoy the desert night to the sound of traditional Berber music.

Day 6Merzouga ⇨ Tinghir Gorges ⇨ Boumalne Dades Valley

 

An early getup for magnifique sunrise, have breakfast in your Luxury Morocco Desert Camp Leaving the desert behind, our first stop is the shopping town of Rissani, where you can visit its colorful souks. The nearby ruined town of Sijilmassa was an important part of this region’s history. We travel west to Tinejdad and Tinghir, passing through palm groves and adobe villages. From here, we climb the mountains to see one of nature’s wonders, the Gorges du Todra, a 300-meter-high fault with a crystal-clear river at its foot that has cut through the mountain to form this gorge. Back in the valley, we continue on to Boumalne Dades and take to the road again to discover another incredible wonder at the Dades Gorge. Here, you’ll spend the night in a local guesthouse with dinner and breakfast.

Day 7Boumalne Dades Valley ⇒ Skoura ⇒ Ouarzazate ⇒ Marrakech

­After breakfast in Dades Gorges, we’ll take you then for incredible journey, passing numerous adobe kasbahs and the Rose Valley, where the Damask rose grows and transforms the flowers into many different products. Leaving this valley, we pass the ancient palm grove of Skoura with some impressive kasbahs and arrive in Ouarzazate; the capital of cinema. Here are several film studios where movies like Cleopatra were made. We continue on to the famous Ksar of Aït BenHaddou, which was used in the film Le Gladiateur, as well as many other films. You can stop here for a visit and lunch. In the afternoon, we cross the High Atlas Mountains, with Berber villages and farms dotting the hillsides and rivers carved into their paths. We cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2260 m altitude and descend on the return roads to Marrakech by night.

Day 8⇒ Explore Marrakech with a Local Guide

After breakfast at the Riad, you’ll find a local guide waiting to start your half day tour of Marrakech’s old town. The morning begins with a visit to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque, Marrakech’s landmark and inspiration for other buildings such as Seville’s Giralda and Rabat’s Hassan Tower. Your next stop is the Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs. Marrakech’s Saadian tombs date back to the time of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur.

The tombs were discovered in 1917 and restored by the Fine Arts Department. The mausoleum contains the tombs of some sixty members of the Saadian dynasty from the Draa River valley. After a lunch break, you continue to the famous Jemaa el Fna square, home to a range of dishes, snake charmers, local musicians and fortune-tellers. There’s nowhere on earth like Jemaa el Fna, the square at the heart of old Marrakech. You’ll also stroll through the souks and discover hundreds of handicrafts.

Day 9⇨ Visit Berber Villages for a journey Trip

The 10-day to Morocco was magical. It was everything I had hoped for and more. We got to see a huge swath of the country while staying in well-appointed roads.
